A lot of my offline friends already know, but part of the reason I dyed my hair back to blonde is because it has been a ten year goal of mine to be Sailor Moon for Halloween. I really want to do it this year, especially because Kwik Sew just came out with the *perfect* pattern for it. So while I had a little extra time on my hands tonight waiting for my boyfriend to get home from work, I practiced some pigtails. I’m debating on whether or not to do odangos. I considered a wig, but even if I buy one, I won’t wear it bar-hopping on Halloween only to have it smell like cigarettes and beer the next day. So for Halloween specifically, it will be entirely contingent on whether or not I can successfully put my real hair up in them. To the Sailor Moon fans who have already made comments about me not being a “real” BSSM fan if I don’t wear odangos: get. a. life.

I was really hesitant to do a red-to-blonde tutorial (well, this isn’t really a tutorial, more like a basic explanation) because everyone’s hair is so different, but I got so many questions about what products I used, and so many requests for a tutorial, that I went ahead and wrote one! (In which I look totally high) Another picture of my hair from about a week ago. As you can see, the bottom layers aren’t toned yet, hence why they are much more orangey than the top. I’ll get to it eventually… I’m just tired of inhaling hair dye chemicals for the moment.
